Bought with a Price=Kings Kid

Did you know that you are expensive? The world says we humans are pretty cheap to make, but according to God, we are expensive. We were bought with a high price. The death of another, purchased us for God.

I Corinthians 6:19-20 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body. The Bible explains clearly that Jesus accepted us and bought us so he could include us in his family and bring us to the Father. We now belong to God.

The idea of belonging intrigues me. How often have I observed other groups of people that work together. I belong to the "group" of God. A God Club, if you will. Membership is free, the only cost is a willing heart.

This morning was cold and windy as my husband and I launched on yet another trip to another retirement community. Some that we visit seem cold and hard, medical and sterile. Other places are warm and inviting with lots of club activities. This is a hard decision for us. Seems like we just did this for our parents last year and here we are progressing to this decision in our own health.

Jesus, thank you. I don't have the words to express my gratitude. It seems unbelievable that you would be willing to die for me so that I could belong to God.

I am sitting in the hot springs here now, resting my tired legs from walking on hard cement floors. The bubbles in the hot water bring refreshment to my body. I have several people soaking here today, but....there is room for one more. Would you like to join us, the membership in this club is free and the water is perfect?

Oh, yes, I'd love to come and sit in the hot springs. Thanks for the invite. :)

I spotted you on Shelfari and stopped over to chat.

I'm in Parker. Are you going to CCWC this year?
